Watling, Nap to play in GOJHL Prospects Game
Chatham, ON – Chatham’s top scorer, and a former Wallaceburg Lakers star will be the lone representatives with Chatham-Kent connections playing in the Greater Ontairo Junior Hockey League Prospects Game January 17 in Guelph.
Patrick Watling, the current leading scorer of the Chatham Maroons is the lone Chatham representative, although defenseman Brett Clarke is serving as an alternate for the team. Derek Nap, who starred for the Wallaceburg Lakers in 2008-09, and is currently sitting second in team scoring for the Strathroy Rockets, will also be playing for the Western Conference in the game.
Tickets to the game, which features the top student athletes from across the GOJHL are $5.00, with the puck dropping at 7:00pm at Guelph’s Sleeman Centre. Proceeds from the game will go to the Frank Santarossa Scholarship Fund.
