Chatham-Kent Golden Hawks ousted by Northern

For the Chatham-Kent Secondary School Golden Hawks Boys hockey team, their season came to a crashing end at the hands of the Northern Vikings. The CKSS Golden Hawks Boys Hockey team was ousted from the SWOSSAA semi-finals by the Northern Vikings Wednesday in Sarnia after a slow start and never showing their true abilities during the 4-3 loss.

“We just didn’t have it,” said CKSS head coach Marc Poirier. “Our boys should still be proud of what they accomplished winning a Kent Championship.”

Drew Medd, Derek Daly, and Alec Miller scored for the CKSS Golden Hawks in the loss.

Last week, CKSS narrowly defeated the LKCS Cardinals 3-2 in a dramatic shootout to advance to the SWOSSAA semi-

finals and win the Kent County Championships.
