Dane Fox, Seth Griffith Score in London Knights Game 4 Win
Thamesville’s Dane Fox lit the lamp for his London Knights when it mattered the most, a crucial game 4 win against the Owen Sound Attack. London entered the game trailing Owen Sound 2-1 in the best of seven series, but pulled out a 5-2 win at home Thursday.
Late in the season, Fox struggled to stay in the lineup for what Knights officials said were “work ethic” issues. It seems Dane Fox got the message loud and clear as he’s been an important energy player for the London Knights in their opening playoff series.
Thursday night, his goal at the John Labbat Centre in London put the Knights up 2-1. The second period even strength tally was assisted by Chris Tierney and Danny Elser.
Fellow Chatham-Kent resident and former Chatham-Kent Cyclones teammate Seth Griffith has experienced an exceptional playoff run thus far scoring 6-points through the first three playoff games for the Knights, and added another goal for the Knights in the third period on the powerplay.
Game 5 returns to Owen Sound Saturday April 2 at 7:30pm.
