Griffith Scoreless Again, But Canada Keeps Winning

Hockey CanadaSeth Griffith might not be putting up points like he did this season in the OHL, but his team keeps winning, which is far more important for the Wallaceburg resident as he represents Team Canada at the World Under 18 Hockey Championships.

Playing Norway in Dresden, Germany, Canada moved to 3-0 in the tournament after shutting out Norway 5-0. Mark Scheifele led the way for Canada scoring a goal and adding an assist, while goaltender Andrew D’Agostini recorded the shutout in net.

Canada sits atop the Group B standings with only one game remaining, today (Tuesday) versus Sweden. Sweden currently sits in third with 2 wins and 1 loss.

Griffith remains an offensive presence for Canada firing 4 shots on net during the team’s win over Norway, however he isn’t being relied upon as much for scoring as he was with the OHL’s London Knights, rather he has been playing more of a checking role with Team Canada.
