Seth Griffith Named to Team Canada Under-18 Squad
After being eliminated in the first round of the OHL playoffs, London Knights star, and Wallaceburg, Ontario resident Seth Griffith will have a chance to continue his season, however this time with Team Canada.
Reports from Hockey Canada indicate that Seth Griffith has been selected to represent Team Canada at the World Under-18 Hockey Championships in Germany this month.
In six playoff games this year against the Owen Sound Attack, Griffith led the London Knights in scoring tallying 3 goals and 4 assists for 7 points. During the regular season Griffith totalled 22 goals and 40 assists in 68 games.
Earlier in the year, Griffith was ranked as the 157th rated skater in North America for the upcoming NHL draft, however, since receiving that rating, Griffith has shot up the charts as he lit up the OHL ranks, a fact that is reflected by his recent selection to Team Canada.
It has been rumoured by sources that several NHL teams have showed an interest in Griffith, in particular, one Western Conference team has been following Griffith closely throughout the playoffs.
Hockey Canada is set to announce the remainder of the Under-18 Team Canada roster this week.
