With only 4 minutes remaining in Wednesday’s game between the Wallaceburg Red Devils and Sarnia Pacers, things did not look good for Wallaceburg as they trailed 7-3.

The Red Devils however, did not quite as the team rallied back scoring 5 unanswered goals for a dramatic 8-7 win, which was capped by two Clint Lamarsh goals, including one with only 10 seconds remaining for the win.

In the first period Reid Miller and Lamarsh, who finished the game with a hat trick and two assists, opened the scoring to end the frame tied 2-2 with Sarnia. The second period however was dominated by the Sarnia Pacers with TJ Mara scoring twice to put his team ahead 4-2.

Sarnia stormed out of the gate in the third scoring three more times, with Rob Pollock scoring a powerplay goal to break up the Pacers’ streak. Pollock also had 4 assists in the game.

With only four minutes to go and trailing by 4 goals, Brendan Shepley kicked of the Wallaceburg Red Devils comeback, followed by goals from Dillon Lapointe and Reid Miller. Then, Lamarsh took over scoring the final two goals of the game to lift his team to a dramatic last minute win.

Sunday travels to Niagara to play before returning to face the Pacers on the road next Wednesday. The two Sarnia versus Wallaceburg games are also raising funds for suicide awareness.
