Local Fighters Win Gold at Gracie Barra Submission Grappling Competition

Gracie Barra Chatham hosted the recent ICAD’s submission grappling competition on May 15th 2011. It drew in people from all over Ontario and especially from other clubs in the Chatham Kent area. ICAD’s stands for Inter-Club Athlete Development and is sanctioned by the Ontario Submission Wrestling Alliance.
 
The gold winners for each division are as follows:

 Kids/Youth division: Chase Mason of Gracie Barra Chatham
145lb Adult: Shelby Lepage of Gracie Barra Chatham (at age 15)
155lb Adult: Josh Rich of Gracie Barra Chatham
175lb Adult: Justin Steele of Gracie Barra Chatham (at age 15)
200lb Adult: Chad Laprise of Adrenaline Training Center
200lb+ Adult: Chad Laprise of Adrenaline Training Center
 
The next ICAD’s event will be held at School of Hard Knox in Tilbury on June 12. As well, local fighter Josh Rich will be  returning to the cage (MMA) on June 25th for XCC Battle of the border in Port Huron, Michigan.
