Red Devils Send St. Catherines Spartans Packing After Big Win
The St. Catherines Spartans couldn’t get out of Wallaceburg Memorial Arena fast enough after the Wallaceburg Red Devils crushed the Spartans 13-5 Saturday.
Reid Miller, as he has for much of the season, led the Wallaceburg Red Devils charge scoring 4 goals and adding 4 assists in the game. Clint Lamarsh potted a hat trick in the game, while Jordan Durston and Tyson Isaac each had two goals. Rob Pollock chipped in with a goal and 4 assists, while Dillon Lapointe also scored.
Wallaceburg dominated each period in the game on the scoresheet, despite being outshot in the game. Putting a final strangle hold on thier lead, the Red Devils scored 6 unanswered goals to open the third period. Earlier this week, the Red Devils also scored 6 unanswered third period goals in a comeback win over Sarnia.
Wallaceburg Red Devils goaltender Kirby Celotto was named the games first star stopping 39 of 45 shots he faced and picking up two assists in the game.
Wallaceburg faces Orangeville at home Saturday afternoon at 4pm, before welcoming the London Blue Devils to town this Wednesday at 7:30pm.
