Suisham Recovering According to Pittsburgh Steelers
After missing this weekend’s Pittsburgh Steelers win over the Philadelphia Eagles, Wallaceburg’s Shaun Suisham is recovering from a minor surgery and is expected to be back with his NFL club soon.
“He had his appendix taken out,” said Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin in a post game press conference. “He had an appendectomy last week. He is fine and back with us. It’s just going to be a matter of time before he gets back out there and participates for us.”
Although Suisham is recovering, it is unknown whether or not he will be in the Pittsburgh Steelers lineup this coming weekend as the Steelers face the Atlanta Falcons Saturday. If Suisham doesn’t play, his replacement Swayze Walters, who went a dissappointing 1-for-3 last week will likely take to the field again.
Suisham was re-signed to a multi-year contract with the Steelers following the resolution of the NFL Lockout. Last season, Suisham was a key contributor for the Pittsburgh Steelers as they travelled to the Super Bowl, eventually losing to the Green Bay Packers.

Such good news that Suisham is on the mend. Hopefully, he will be ready to go for the Steelers’ opener.
