NFL Dream Not Dead For Andy Fantuz After Audition With Jaguars
Chatham’s Andy Fantuz may have returned to the Saskatchewan Roughriders after the now free agent was released by the Chicago Bears midway through this year’s preseason, but that doesn’t mean the CFL star is definitely remaining in the Canadian Football League.
Fantuz reportedly has been auditioning for NFL teams again, including the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Chatham Daily News, among other sources, are reporting that Fantuz was one of 13 players to work out for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Jacksonville finished third last in the AFC ahead of only Cleveland and Indianapolis, and did not qualify for the postseason.
In other NFL news, Wallaceburg’s Shaun Suisham and the Pittsburgh Steelers face the Denver Broncos Sunday, January 8 at 4:30pm, in Wildcard playoff football.
