South Buxton Driver Steve Shaw Jr. Recieves Full Scholarship to Racing School

Merlin’s Steve Shaw Jr, a veteran of South Buxton Raceway has received a full scholarship to Race 101, a racing school in Denver, North Carolina.

The school, put on by Howe Racing, is welcoming 18 new students, including Steve Shaw Jr, from five states and two provinces to the course which aims to improve the skills and knowledge of up and coming drivers from across North America.

“The selection process was harder this year than ever,” said RACE 101 co‐founder and instructor Tony Blanchard in an official release bout the new 2012 class which includes Shaw. “We had more applicants than last year, and the overall quality of their resumes is impressive.”

Steve Shaw Jr. drove the 62 car in the Tirecraft Comp 4s division at South Buxton Raceway, finishing 9th in the overall standings this season.
