CK Local Athlete of the Week: Seth Griffith

Wallaceburg’s Seth Griffith has been selected as the CKSN Local Athlete of the Week for March 25-31.

Griffith, who plays for the OHL’s London Knights, helped his team to a 4-0 series sweep of the Windsor Spitfires in the opening round of the OHL playoffs.

On Sunday, March 25, Griffith scored two goals for the London Knights in a 3-2 road win over Windsor. The next night, March 26, Griffith repeated his performance, scoring two more, including the game winning goal in another 3-2 London Knights win.

In the series clinching game, an 8-3 London win, Griffith picked up an assist.

Griffith currently leads the OHL’s London Knights in playoff scoring.

Honourable Mention: Blenheim’s Kyle Hope scored the overtime winner for the Owen Sound Attack, after scoring earlier in the game in a 6-5 playoff win. Blenheim’s Breanne Nicholas scored two tries in the opening game of the Kent Rugby High School season in a 17-15 losing effort against the UCC Lancers.
