Seth Griffith Cleans Up in OHL Coaches Poll
The London Knights sniper, scored 22 goals and added 40 assists last season, before sky-rocketing to 45 goals this season and 40 assists with two games remaining in the OHL season.
On top of his honour of being named the Most Improved Player in the OHL’s Western Conference, Griffith also finished second in voting for the Most Dangerous in the Goal Area category, and Best Shootout Shooter category.
In the Most Dangerous in the Goal Area category, Griffith received 23 votes, second only to top NHL draft prospect Nail Yakupov of the Sarnia Sting. In the Best Shootout Shooter category, Griffith finished only 3 votes out of first behind Saginaw Spirit player Vincent Trocheck.
Griffith, who is NHL draft eligible this season, was named the OHL’s player of the week in early October and has sat in the top 5 in league scoring for much of this season. Griffith also represented the OHL at the Subway Super Series against Team Russia in Ottawa earlier this season.
His London Knights have also found themselves at or near the top of the CHL’s National Rankings all season.
Griffith and the London Knights will finish off their season playing Sarnia Friday night, followed by a St. Patrick’s Day game against Dane Fox and the Erie Otters Saturday. Saturday’s game in Erie will be played on green ice.
