Dane Fox Climbs in Final NHL Draft Rankings
The Erie Otters forward, climbed to 46th overall among North American Skaters, after being ranked 48th overall at the midterm.
For Fox, the ranking signifies a 3rd to 4th round NHL draft selection, once European skaters and goaltenders are added into the equation.
After being traded from the London Knights to the Erie Otters this season, Fox took on a top line role and was named an assistant captain for the Otters.
Fox led the Erie Otters in scoring this season finishing with 23 goals and 31 assists for 54 points in 62 games. Fox also played in the NHL/CHL Top Prospects game this winter.
As well, Patrick Watling, who played for the Chatham Maroons last season, cracked the NHL draft rankings at 151st overall, falling drastically from 121st at the midterm ranking. Watling plays for the Guelph Storm of the OHL.
Sarnia Sting sniper Nail Yakupov maintained the top spot on the NHL’s list.
