Griffith Has Two Assists as Knights Beat Spirit in Game One
The London Knights continued their dominance of the OHL playoffs, defeating the Saginaw Spirit 5-2 in game one of the OHL’s second round.
Similar to the first round, London’s offense was powered by Wallaceburg’s Seth Griffith.
Griffith, who had a point in each of the four first round games, including two two-goal games, continued his playoff point streak by adding two assists in London’s opening game against Saginaw.
Friday night, Griffith assisted on powerplay goals by Greg McKegg and Austin Watson.
Other London goal scorers in the win, were Jared Tinordi, Matt Rupert, and Watson who also scored an empty net goal.
Griffith now has 4 goals and 4 assists for 8 points through the first 5 playoff games. This marks a new playoff career high for Griffith who scored 7 points in 6 games last season, and 7 points in 10 games in 2012.
