This weekend at London’s Fanshawe College the Chatham-Kent Wildcats Novice Boys won Bronze in the Ontario Cup Division 4 Championship.

Friday, the Wildcats lost a close overtime game to Whitby 20-17. Ethan Jordan led the Wildcats with 4-points, while Bennet Schaffer had 3, and Evan Torres, Weiler Dunlop, Hunter Blommers, and Tanner Hoorelbeck each had 2-points a piece.

Saturday, Chatham-Kent defeated Caledon 22-16. Ethan Jordan had a huge game scoring 16-points for the Wildcats ,while Drew Aarssen and Jackson Moon has two, and Stefan Borovicanin and Evan Torres collected single points.

Chatham continued their winning ways against Blessed Sacrament 2, defeating the team 19-11. Jordan had 7-points in the win, followed by Torres with 6-points. Hunter Blommers also chipped in 4-points, while Dunlop had 2 in the game.

In Sunday’s semi-final, Chatham-Kent came up against a tough CKATT team, losing 29-17. Jordan again paced the Wildcats scoring 6, while Blommers (5), Mitchell Lucier (4), Schaffer (3), Torres (1), and Aarssen (1) also hit the scoresheet.

The bronze medal game later that day came down to the wire, as Chatham-Kent battled Barrie. At the final buzzer, Chatham would edge Barrie 28-26 to grab Provincial bronze. Evan Torres had a team high 10-points in the win. Jordan helped with 8, while Blommers and Schaffer each had 6-points. Luke Smolders (2), Borovicanin (2), and Lucier (1) also played well, getting on the board.
