Tartans Tackle Panthers, Lancers Tame Bobcats
Mark Kellett ran for three touchdowns for the Wallaceburg Tartans as they tackled the John McGregor Panthers Friday in KCSSAA Junior Football. Wallaceburg defeated the Panthers, leaving them winless, 32-7.
Kellett ran for two 26-yard touchdowns and a 10-yard touchdown in the win. Simon Yazbeck had the other Wallaceburg Tartans major scoring on an 18-yard run.
Garth Denys had the other points for Wallaceburg kicking a field goal, four extra points, and a rouge.
McGregor’s Gabe Gagner broke away with a 72-yard run for the Panthers only touchdown of the game.
In Blenheim, the UCC Lancers won the battle of the previously unbeaten, downing Blenheim 21-13.
Anthony Cunha, Kellen Kaniecki, and Keenan Clark scored touchdowns for the UCC Lancers in their comeback win over the Bobcats. UCC trailed heading into the 4th quarter before Cunha and Clark ran for TDs.
Eric Howell and Dalton Shuian scored for Blenheim in the loss.
