With no time left facing the Baltimore Ravens, Suisham booted a 42 yard field goal to lift his Pittsburgh Steelers to a 23-20 win.
The kick was Suisham’s third of the game from beyond 40 yards as he also hit a 46 yard field goal in the first quarter and a 41 yarder near the end of the first half. The successful kicks improves Suisham’s season record to 21-for-22, a 95.5% success rate.
In OHL action, Wallaceburg’s Seth Griffith scored two shootout goals, including the game winner in the 19th round, lifting his London Knights to a 4-3 victory over the Mississauga Steelheads.
Griffith also picked up an assist on Max Domi’s first period powerplay goal, en route to the Knights’ 15th consecutive win. Griffith currently sits second in OHL scoring with 19 goals and 31 assists through 30 games.
