Fournier Takes Grappling Gold in Toronto

Three of Gracie Barra Chatham students competed in Grappling Industries Toronto on February 16 at Ryerson University.

Zach Fournier won Gold in his division by going 5-0 (3 win by points, 2 by submission). Zach went on to fight in absolute (no weight class) division to win a chance for paid trip to World Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Championships in California, he won first match by points then lost in second round.

Justin Steele lost in semi-finals with overall record of 5-1 (3 win by submission, 2 win by points and loss by points)

Joe Toulouse went 2-2 in his division (win by submission and points, loss by points and DQ).
