CKSS Takes Two Divisions at Final Tune Up Before Kent

Chatham-Kent Secondary School won two divisions at the final Junior Badminton Tournament leading up to the Kent final Wednesday night held at Chatham Christian.

CKSS’ Lee Kucera and Julie Earle won their fourth consecutive tournament of the season capturing the mixed double title, while Pierce Johnson and Josh Roy won their first tournament of the year in the boys doubles division. Kent will be held next Thursday at Ridgetown. Below at the winners and finalists from each division.

Boys Singles:
1st: Kaden VanHelden — CCHS
2nd: Mitchell Benn — ESPC

Girls Singles:
1st: Danielle Lucier — UCC
2nd: Madeleine Myers — ESPC

Boys Doubles:
1st: Pierce Johnson and Josh Roy — CKSS
2nd: Joseph Raaymakers and Jagger Schives — ESPC

Girls Doubles:
1st: Regan Pardo and Hailey Zimmer — BDHS
2nd: Carly McVicar and Rachel Prout — RDHS

Mixed Doubles:
1st: Julie Earle and Lee Kucera — CKSS
2nd: Paige Moffatt and Brant Magnell — ESPC
