Griffith Scores in Memorial Cup Opener
Facing the host Saskatoon Blades, Griffith potted London’s second goal of the opening frame, off a feed from Rodney’s Bo Horvat.
After Saskatoon tied the game in the second, sending the contest to the third knotted 2-2, Griffith found the scoresheet again in the third, assisting on a powerplay marker by Nikita Zadorov.
For his performance, Griffith was named the second star of the game, with the other two stars going to Saskatoon Blades players.
London now has the weekend off before playing the Portland Winterhawks Monday and the Halifax Mooseheads Tuesday.
