Great Lakes 2013-2014 Schedule Released

The defending champion Essex 73s will open the 2013-2014 Great Lakes Junior C schedule hosting the Wallaceburg Lakers Tuesday, September 10.

The following night, the Dresden Kings will kick off their season on the road, playing the Wallaceburg Lakers in their home opener.

The Blenheim Blades season opener also features the Wallaceburg Lakers, who finish off a busy opening week travelling to Blenheim Sunday, September 15. That same night, the Amherstburg Admirals play their first ever game on home ice, hosting the Essex 73s.

On September 16, the Wheatley Sharks kick off their season at home, hosting the Admirals.

The Wallaceburg Lakers will play their first of four Thursday night home games on Walpole Island, Thursday, October 3 when they host the Mooretown Flags.

No cross over games between other Junior C loops are currently on the 2013-2014 schedule, despite speculation that each Great Lakes team would play a home and home series against teams from other Junior C loops.
