Max Fantuz Commits to Windsor Lancers
Chatham’s Max Fantuz, the younger brother of CFL star Andy Fantuz, has committed to play OUA football for the University of Windsor Lancers.
Fantuz is a Ursuline College Chatham graduate, and will study business at Windsor.
Fantuz is a tight end and fullback, who played this year for the Chatham-Kent Cougars, as well as the UCC Lancers. The Windsor Lancers open their season August 25th against the University of Waterloo Warriors and will face the Toronto Varsity Blues on Alumni Weekend on September 21st.
Also committing to the University of Windsor Lancers is the son of former Windsor Director of Athletics, and Chatham native, Clark Grace. Gord Grace’s son Clark, will play slotback for the Lancers after red shirting with the University of Michigan last season.
Fantuz is another in a long list of Chatham-Kent Cougars that will be moving on to play University football next season. Chatham’s Clark Green, a CKSS graduate will be playing for Concordia University, while Wallaceburg’s Jonah Pataki will be playing for Queens University. Chatham’s Connor Martin will play for the Western University Mustangs, while Tanner Emery will suit up for the Carleton Ravens.
