McKinlay Third at Erie Shores
Ridgetown’s Crawford McKinlay, who is a member at Ridgetown Golf Club, finished third at the second stop on the Jamieson Junior Golf Tour at Erie Shores Golf Club.
McKinlay, who won the season’s opening event in Blenheim, was one shot behind Bryce Evon and Greg Mullins, shooting a one over par 72.
McKinlay now sits 0.5 points behind Evon, who won the playoff to take the Erie Shores title, with 158 points, in the overall Jamieson Junior Golf Tour standings. McKinlay is committed to play NCAA golf next season for Wayne State University in Michigan.
Nate Parent, who is a member at Maple City in Chatham, was the next highest local finisher, placing 12th in the 65 player field, shooting a 76. Ridgetown’s Carson McKinlay and Wheatley’s T.J. Thompson, who plays at Talbot Trail, were tied for 13th shooting 77.
