Cycling Trials Coming To Chatham
The Ontario Cycling Association will be holding their time Provincial Time Trials this weekend in Chatham, Ontario. The event will take place Saturday, August 31.
Approximately 200 cyclists will compete in 15 divisions based on age an ability, and travel either 15km, 25km, or 35km through Chatham-Kent. As a time trial event, cyclists are competing against only the clock, with the Provincial Champions being crowned at the end of the race.
Starting at 3pm from the Union Gas Education Centre at Bloomfield Road and Riverview Drive, the trials will travel along Riverview Line, with cyclists leaving at one minute intervals to traverse the out-and-back course, which finishes at the same location as it started.
Drivers can expect little disruption as the road will remain open, but are asked to use caution along the trial route.
