Havoc Men Move Back Into First
The Kent Havoc Men’s Rugby team have moved back into first overall in the Niagara Rugby Union “B” Division after defeating the former number one, Highland, on Saturday afternoon.
Mark Buis scored two tries for the Havoc in the win, while Brad Betterncourt, Pat O’Donnell, and Tyler Gawley each had one try. Gawley also had a conversion, while Jack Thomas scored points on a conversion and penalty kick. Bettencourt was named man of the match in the win.
The Havoc Men will now travel to Waterloo on August 17, and to Bruce County on August 24 for their next two matches.
The Kent Havoc Senior Women were also in action over the weekend, playing a tough Sarnia Saints team. The Havoc eventually lost the game, which was their final match of the season, 42-17, with Blenheim’s Breanne Nicholas being named Woman of the Match.
