Miller Gives Team Ontario Relief
Chatham’s Alec Miller completed his run at the Canada Summer Games in Sherbrooke, Quebec, providing solid relief pitching for Team Ontario in their silver medal performance.
Miller pitched in the gold medal game, a 5-0 loss to British Columbia. He was pulled early in the game after allowing three unearned runs on his teammates three errors.
Early in the tournament, Miller pitched a scoreless inning against Quebec in relief, in a 5-4 victory, and 2 2/3 scoreless innings, striking out two in a 7-1 win over Alberta.
The Chatham-Kent Secondary School student is playing this summer for the U18 Windsor Selects, and has International experience representing Canada at the Sophomore Sunbelt Series baseball tournament in Oklahoma City, USA.
Miller also pitched two innings in the round robin finale, a loss against Quebec.
