Van Praet Headed To Worlds

Chatham’s Ryan Van Praet will represent Canada, being named to the Triathlon Canada team, which will participate at the World ParaTriathlon Championships, from September 8-14 in London, England.

Van Praet, a 6 time Ironman triathlon finisher, will be guided by Syd Trefiak of Port Perry, Ontario, competing in the Men’s Visually Impaired Category.

Van Praet was selected for Team Canada based on his finishes from National and International competitions, including the 2012 World Championships in Auckland, New Zealand, where Van Praet finished 4th.

in 2010, Van Praet was the Canadian National Olympic Distance Paratriathlon Champion.
