High School Girls Basketball Continues
Tuesday was a busy night in Girls high school basketball across Chatham-Kent. Below are the scores from Tuesday’s games.
Senior Girls
Wallaceburg 36 – John McGregor 27: Laura Polowick scored 11, while Ashley Jackson scored 10 for JMSS in the absence of Bridget Carleton. Torrie Handsor topped all Wallaceburg scorers with 8-points.
CKSS 26 – UCC 21: Keisha Cato had 10-points for CKSS, while Lindsay Elliott scored a game high 12-points for UCC.
Ridgetown 36 – Pain Court 27: Tawny Huff and Hope Long both hit double digits for Ridgetown, with Huff scoring 18-points, and Long contributing 12. Courtney DePass had 10-points for ESPC in the loss.
Lambton-Kent (Dresden) 50 – Blenheim 40: Paige Johnston had 18-points, and Sasha Cook had 10 as LKCS beat BDHS in a high scoring affair. Hailey Newham topped all scorers, draining 23-points in a losing effort.
Chatham Christian 40 – Tilbury 25: The trio of Amy Bultie (18), Sandy Hakiza (10), and Laura Wiersma (10) scored all but 2 of CCHS’ points in the win.
Junior Girls
Wallaceburg 40 – John McGregor 26: Sawyer Fischer paced the WDSS Tartans scoring 18, while Tori Matthews had 16-points for JMSS.
CKSS 41 – UCC 28: Brittany McLaren was the top Golden Hawks scorer with 10-points in the win. Kaila Broadbent’s 8-points was best for the UCC Lancers.
Ridgetown 29 – Pain Court 5: Mattea Deleory (12) and Kenna Ladd (9) were the leading scorers for Ridgetown in this lopsided win.
Lambton-Kent (Dresden) 32 – Blenheim 8: Maddy Vanrycheghem 7, Shaelynn Sewell 6, and Jaden Gall 6 were the game’s top scorers from Dresden.
