Two Tricks Lift Blades
Drew Marlatt played one trick, and Jordan Durston played the other on the Mooretown Flags, as the Blenheim Blades outscored Mooretown in a wild 8-6 win.
Marlatt, a rookie with the Blades, who was drafted by the Windsor Spitfires last season, scored his first career Junior hockey hat trick for the Blades in the win.
Jordan Durston, who came over from the Wallaceburg Lakers last season, also scored four goals for the Blades and added an assist for a five point evening.
In the high scoring game, Cam Aitken and Justin Rossignol both played the role of set up men, each picking up four assists for Blenheim, while Jarod Oliphant and Dylan Muzzatti had the other Blenheim goals.
In other Junior C action, the Wallaceburg Lakers fell to an unlucky 0-13 on the season, losing 9-0 to the upstart Amherstburg Admirals.
