Five Questions With Adriano Deabreu
A UCC Lancers alumni, Debreau recently completed his Junior season with the Broncos, where Western Michigan fell to Akron in the MAC Championship. Debreau, a finance major at Western Michigan, played 169:03 minutes this season, stopping 7 shots and allowing a single goal in his five appearances.
Prior to attending Western Michigan, Debreau also played for the New Jersey Institute of Technology Highlanders.
Below are Adriano Debreau’s answers to CKSN’s Five Questions:
1. What is your career sports highlight/top memory?
Signing with Western Michigan. It felt great signing with a team of that calibre and was a humbling experience for me as an athlete
2. Who is your favorite professional sports team and athlete?
My favorite team is SL Benfica, and my favorite player is Iker Casillas.
3. If you could achieve one thing/goal in sports, what would it be?
To reach my maximum potential. I don’t believe there is anything more self satisfying than knowing at the end of your career that you’re the best you could have been.
4. Who has been your biggest sports influence and why?
Biggest influences in my sports career have definitely been my dad and my grandfather. They have both been extremely supportive in all my decisions regarding not only sports, but life in general. They have constantly challenged me to crave more and never stop believing in myself.
5. What do you love most about playing sports?
Anyone that knows me on a personal level knows that I’m an extremely competitive person and being an athlete allows me to compete on an everyday basis in order to be the best.
