Blenheim Blast Splash To Success In Sarnia
Brendan Van Herk (14) won first place in both the Mixed Open 100m Back (1:07.11) and 14 & Over 100m I.M. (1:05.92). Both swims represented personal best times. Brendan was second in the mixed 200m Free (2:10.02) and third in the Mixed 50m Fly (29.53).
Rain Pfaff (14) won the girls 14 & over 100m I.M. in a personal best time of 1:13.28, and was second in the Mixed Open 100m Back in a time of 1:13.97. Rain was fourth in the Mixed Open 100m Breast (1:22.61) and was sixth in the Mixed Open 50m Fly (32.63). 16 year old River Pfaff swam personal best times in all of his events, winning the Mixed Open 100m Breast in a personal best time of 1:14.84, and placing second in the Mixed Open 100m Free (59.87), 50m Fly (29.33) and 14 & over 100 I.M. (1:07.81).
12 year old Grace Hansen was first in the 12-13 year old girls 50m Fly in a time of 35.65. Grace was second in both the 12-13 girls 100m Back (1:24.37) and 14 & over 100m Free (1:12.51). Grace was also fourth in the 12-13 year old girls 100m Breast (1:34.92). Also topping the podium was 9 year old Gracin Black, finishing first in the 8-9 boys 25m Breast in a time of 23.33. Gracing was fifth in the 100m I.M> (1:54.43) and eighth in both the 25m Back (24.48) and 50m Free (47.46) events.
15 year old Olivia Emers placed second in the girls 14 & Over 100m Breast (1:40.48), and was third in the 14 & Over 100 I.M. (1:29.89). Olivia was fourth in the 100m Back, and placed fifth in the 100m Free (1:22.18). Riley Johnson (17) was second in the 100m I.M. in a time of 1:17.33, and was fourth in the Mixed Open 100m Back (1:22.26), sixth in the Mixed Open 100m Free (1:08.06) and seventh in the Mixed Open 50m Fly (33.19). 13 year old Delainey Johnson has three top ten swims, placing fifth in the 12-13 girls 100m Free (1:17.27), eighth in the 10m Back (1:30.13) and tenth in the 100m Breast (1:44.69). 11 year old Abigael Johnston also had three top ten finishes at the meet, placing fifth in the girls 10-11year old 50m Breast ( 52.83) , eighth in the 50m Back ( 49.92) and was tenth 100m I.M. (1:41.04).
8 year old Linnea Mattsson swam three personal best times, placing second in the girls 8-9 25m Breast (25.79). Linnea was fourth in the 25m Fly (24.39) and fifth in the 25m Back.
7 year old Lilly Jones had three top ten performances at the meet, finishing fourth in the 7 & under Breast in a time of 32.73. Lily was tenth in both the 25m Fly (35.72) and 25m Free (28.32) events.
Other top ten finishes include Holly Reynolds (10) who placed seventh in the girls 10-11 year old 50m Back (49.60), Rylee Standford (9) who placed tenth in the 8-99 year old 25m Back (27.12), Morgan Anderson (11) who placed tenth in the 10-11 50m Breast (50.27) and Dylan Evans (8) who was tenth in the boys 8-9 year old 25m Fly (31.07).
The team will travel December 14 and 15 to the newly opened Windsor International Aquatic & Training Centre to participate in the Division 3 Team Championships.
