Golden Hawks Put Cardinals On Ice
The Chatham-Kent Golden Hawks remained perfect this season in KCSSAA boys high school hockey, defeating the Lambton-Kent Golden Hawks 6-3 Wednesday night to improve to 4-0-1.
Nate Whittal paced CK’s offense, scoring two goals in the win, while Kier Cumming had a goal and three assists.
Other Golden Hawks goal scorers were Drew Medd, Trevor Niven, and Drew McFeggan.
Dresden goal scorers in the loss were Evan Cameron, Kadin Ritchie, and Cole McDonald.
Nolan Hakr and Brandon Foster split the win in net for CKSS, making 32 stops.
Lambton-Kent could have passed John McGregor into second in the league standings, but sits in third after the loss. John McGregor will host CKSS Monday, while Lambton-Kent hosts McGregor Thursday next week.
