The Riverview Bingo Chatham Thunder Ringette Novice travel team obliterated the competition in their first tournament appearance of the season, bringing home the gold medal with an 11-0 victory over host team St Marys this past weekend..

Chatham entered the tournament as the sleeping giant from the Western region, given they were yet to display their wares beyond the regular season schedule. In a show of complete dominance, officials went searching for the record books with the Chatham girls racking up an aggregate tournament score of 35-1. Centres Kaitlyn Sammon and Kaitlyn Warner were standouts throughout the tournament while goalie Avery Haines was virtually impassable. All players registered a score throughout the tournament, but Kaitlyn Warner led all scorers throughout the tournament with 9 goals and 10 assists.

Scorers in the gold medal game were Kaitlyn Warner with 3 goals, Helena Anderson, Gloria Koning, Martina Legere with 2 goals each, and Sophie Horban, and Jeanette Legere each. Assists in the final came from Kaitlyn Warner who had 3, Elyse Fallon and Martina Legere had 2, and Faith Koning and Kaitlyn Sammon each had one assist..

The team includes Faith Koning, Helena Anderson, Analise Legere, Avery Haines, Jeanette Legere, Elyse Fallon, Gloria Koning, Kaitlyn Sammon, Kalyn Buchanan, Martina Legere, Sophie Horban, Leah Day, and Kaitlyn Warner.
