Mapletoft Headed To Provincials

CurlingWallaceburg’s Matt Mapletoft will once again be competing in the Men’s Provincial Curling Championships later this month, after his team won their regional competition in early January.

Mapletoft, who played vice on a team from St. Thomas, Ontario, skipped by Craig Van Ymeren, won the regional final 6-3 to advance to the Provincial Tankard.

The event, which will be Mapletoft’s second crack at a Provincial Men’s Championship, will be held in Smith Falls, Ontario from January 27 through February 2.

Mapletoft previously represented Canada at the World Junior Curling Championships, and was an OUA medalist, and competed at the CIS championships as a member of the Wilfrid Laurier University Golden Hawks.
