Maroons Extend Streak, Blades Down Sharks
The Chatham Maroons extended their winning streak to 13 games, and a familiar face was the star of the game.
Maroons forward Kyle Brothers had 2 goals, including the winner in the final minute, and 2 assists as the Maroons defeated the London Nationals 4-3 Sunday night.
Brothers also set up Adam Arseneault and Tanner Ferguson in the victory.
The win keeps Chatham within four points of first place LaSalle.
In Great Lakes Junior C action, the Blenheim Blades defeated the Wheatley Sharks 5-3 Sunday.
Wheatley got out to an early 2-0 lead on goals by Cale Phibbs and Tyler Liboiron.
The Blades would answer back with goals from Kirk McKillop, and a pair from Cam Aitken. Drew Marlatt would score the game winner for Blenheim, while Justin Rossignol would add insurance late.
Former Blenheim Blade and Blenheim resident Shawn Hope scored the other Wheatley Sharks goal.
