Kent’s top two senior basketball teams will go head to head this Saturday at Ursuline College in a clash for the Kent title.

Saturday’s 7pm final was set up by a pair of semi-final wins Wednesday.

At UCC, the Lancers easily handled the Wallaceburg Tartans, taking a 49-26 win. As he has much of the season, Luke Allin paced the UCC Lancers, scoring 20-points, while Jazz Miguel-White had 10 for the Lancers in the win.

At CKSS, the Golden Hawks advanced by defeating cross town rivals, the JMSS Panthers 58-30. Ian Smart had 16-points for CKSS, while Joel Barwick and Marley Blommers each contributed 11-points for the Golden Hawks.

Entering the playoffs, UCC was the first seed, finishing the regular season with an 11-0 Kent record, while CKSS advanced as the second seed with a 9-2 record, with their only losses coming at the hands of UCC. UCC defeated CKSS 55-52 and 41-36 this season.
