The Chatham Maroons have their backs against a wall after dropping game four to the Leamington Flyers Tuesday in the GOJHL Western Conference final.

Kyle Brothers opened the scoring in the game, igniting the more than 1800 fans who packed Memorial Arena to see the game. Scoring midway through the first with assists going to Steven Szekesy and Tanner Ferguson, Brothers’ goal would be the only tally the Maroons would collect on the night.

Following the first, Leamington goalie Trevor Wheaton shut the door, stopping the 26 of 27 shots he faced in the game.

Leamington would receive goals from Cole Chevalier, Tony Spidalieri, and Dylan Seguin en route to a 3-1 victory.

The Flyers now lead the best of seven series 3-1, with a possible deciding game five Thursday in Leamington at 7:10pm.

The loser of this series is not immediately eliminated from Sutherland Cup contention, as the GOJHL will be implementing their new wildcard format, where the Conference finalist with the highest playoff winning percentage will receive the fourth position in the Sutherland Cup round robin.
