The CKSS Golden Hawks and Wallaceburg Tartans senior boys and girls soccer teams collided for a pair of close matches Thursday.

In the girls game, Wallaceburg gave the undefeated CKSS Golden Hawks their first real scare of the season, playing them to a 1-1 draw. Brooke Armstrong scored for Chatham-Kent Secondary School, while Elina Steele had the Wallaceburg goal.

CKSS sits in first place in the Kent girls soccer league with a 4-0-1 record, while Wallaceburg also remains undefeated with a 2-0-2 record.

On the boys side, CKSS held on to their perfect record, improving to 5-0 this season, after edging the Wallaceburg Tartans 1-0.

Drew McFeggan scored a first half goal, which would hold up as the winner for CKSS.

The Kent schedule for this week will close out tomorrow, with the Wallaceburg girls soccer team travelling to Dresden to face the Lambton-Kent Cardinals for a 1pm game.
