Wallaceburg’s Seth Griffith, over the span of two years, has went from sleeper NHL draft pick, to premier NHL draft prospect.

How has he done it? Scoring clutch goals, and consistently producing.

After scoring the game winner with the London Knights a year ago sending his team to the Memorial Cup, Griffith brought his clutch scoring to the American Hockey League playoffs over the weekend, scoring two goals in a 1:48 span to tie the game, and spark his Providence Bruins to a 6-3 comeback win over the Springfield Falcons.

Griffith also had an assist, and was named the games first star.

The win sends the underdog Bruins to the second round of the AHL playoffs, where they’ll face the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.

In five playoff games, Griffith has 2 goals and 4 assists for 6 points, which places him tied for second in league scoring after the opening round of the AHL playoffs.
