Former Wallaceburg Red Devils athletes Clint Lamarsh and Tye Belanger have strapped back on their equipment this summer with the Sarnia Beavers, or the Ontario Senior B Lacrosse League, and are having an instant impact.

Saturday night facing the Owen Sound North Stars, Lamarsh scored a goal, and added two assists in Sarnia’s 13-8 win.

Belanger took the win between the pipes for the Beavers, who now sit with a 2-4 record.

Lamarsh, a Wallaceburg resident, was annually one of the Red Devils’ top scorers, and played multiple seasons of field lacrosse for Laurentian University, also topping their team in scoring.

Belanger, a Mooretown product who played in Wallaceburg, has spent the past three seasons playing in lacrosse’s top loop, the NLL, with the Colorado Mammoth. In total, Belanger has dressed for 33 games over that span, including 18 this year.

Sarnia is back in action next Friday against the Six Nations Rivermen at 8pm at Clearwater Arena in Sarnia, before travelling to face Owen Sound on Sunday.
