Kent To Be Well Represented At OFSAA Track and Field
The Kent region had an outstanding showing at the OFSAA West Regionals Track and Field meet Friday and Saturday at the University of Windsor.
UCC’s Clare Thompson and Pain Court’s Morgan Desjardins each won two events, while Chatham-Kent Secondary School had an impressive nine athletes reach OFSAA, including Quinn Cannella and Felix Marchand who each qualified in two events. The top four in each event qualified for OFSAA. Thompson was first in senior girls long jump and triple jump, while Desjardins was first in junior girls discuss and shot put.
The 2014 OFSAa Track and Field championships will be held June 5-7 at St. Marcellinus Secondary School in Mississauga. Below are the Kent qualifiers for next week’s OFSAA championships, as well as results from the rest of Chatham-Kent competitors at OFSAA West Regionals.
