Durston Leads Arrows In Playoff Opener

Six-Nations-ArrowsWallaceburg’s Jordan Durston had a strong opening game of the 2014 OLA Junior A Lacrosse League playoffs, lifting his Six Nations Arrows to a 13-5 win over the St. Catherines Athletics.

After Six Nations opened up a 4-2 lead in the first, Durston exploded offensively in the second period, scoring a hat trick.

Adding two assists in the game, Durston finished with a game and team high five points in the victory.

Fellow Wallaceburg resident Joel Shepley was also in the lineup for the Six Nations Arrows. Shepley plays a defensive role with the Arrows, but managed an assist for Six Nations in the win.

Six Nations entered the OLA playoffs as the top seed after finishing the regular season with a 16-4 record.

They will finish their series against St. Catherines with a scheduled four straight games beginning this Wednesday.
