Primed For A Three-Peat, Hawks Win Again

The Chatham-Kent Secondary School Golden Hawks seem primed for an OFSAA gold three-peat, after the senior boys volleyball team won their fifth tournament of the season leading up to their league playoffs this week.

“The boys played well at Saunders today,” said CKSS coach Tim Leidl.

CKSS won the Saunders Senior Boys Volleyball tournament defeating Westminster, Lucas and Cameron Heights in pool play finishing 6-0.

In the quarter finals, the CKSS senior boys volleyball team defeated Oakridge 2-1 before beating the host Saunders 2-1 in the semi-finals.

The CKSS Golden Hawks then capped off their tournament win in the finals against Sir John A. McDonald, picking up another 2-0 win.

CKSS will now compete in the LKSSAA “AAA-AAAA” seeding tournament held at Sarnia Northern on Tuesday, October 28. This is their first league action, which will is the first stage in qualifying for OFSAA.
