Blades Continue Adding, Durston Signs
Durston played 19 games for the Blades in 2013-2014, scoring 20-points, including 12-goals.
Durston, who is 20-years-old, and hails from Wallaceburg also played a handful of Junior C games with the Blenheim Blades in 2012-2013 after coming over from the Wallaceburg Lakers, where he scored at nearly a point per game rate for the two seasons he played in Wallaceburg.
Although he has played forward in the past, Durston most recently has suited up on the blueline, a position the Blades are lacking at after Brandon Falconer left the team last month.
The Blenheim Blades currently sit at 8-8, good for 6th in the Great Lakes Junior C Hockey League.
Blenheim will play a pair of games this weekend, visiting Wheatley Saturday, before hosting the Alvinston Flyers Sunday.
In the offseason, Durston won a Canadian Junior A title, capturing the Minto Cup with the Six Nations Arrows.
