The Blenheim Blades picked up a win on the road Saturday night, while the Wallaceburg Lakers fell in a shootout.

Facing the Wheatley Sharks the Blenheim Blades picked up a 4-1 victory on the road, paced by two goals from Derek Muzzatti.

Muzzatti scored the first two goals of the game, followed by goals from Bryan Boersma and Justin Baker. The Wheatley Sharks would get on the board in the third with a goal from Calyn Kir, however the Blades would shut the door and take home the win.

Blenheim had both of their recent signings, Jordan Durston and Mike Myers in the lineup, but both were held pointless in the win.

In Mooretown, the Flags were able to squeeze out the extra point, edging the Wallaceburg Lakers 3-2 in overtime.

Wallaceburg’s goals came from Corey Lucier and Evan Weidenbach in the losing effort.

The Lakers welcomed back Mike Zottl to their lineup. Zottl had been playing with the GOJHL’s Lambton Shores Predators. Wallaceburg also had new acquisition Alex Ritchie in the lineup, who they picked up from the Blenheim Blades this week.
