Golden Hawks Medal At OFSAA Curling

The Chatham-Kent Secondary School Golden Hawks boys curling team won an antique bronze medal at OFSAA curling in Brighton, Ontario this week.

The LKSSAA and SWOSSAA winning team of Tye Juniper, Aiden Poole, Noah Link, and Devon Weese fell 1-4 to Newmarket Sacred Heart in the Bronze Medal game Thursday.

CKSS entered the bronze medal game after dropping their semi-final game against Thunder Bay Westgate, 7-4. Thunder Bay eventually lost the gold medal match to Sudbury Lockerby.

The Hawks opened the OFSAA tournament on a winning streak, capturing the first seed in their pool winning 4 straight games, and a 5th in their quarter-final match.
