Wallaceburg’s Madison Findlater won a Lower Lakes title this past weekend helping her Sarnia Lady Sting Midget AA team win their division championship.

Findlater and the Sting defeated the Chatham Outlaws 3-2 and 3-2 to advance to face the Saugeen-Maitland Lightning who were the top ranked team in their division. The Sting fought to a 2-1 series win, including a 1-0 deciding game.

The win sent Findlater and the Sting to the championship series against the London Devilettes, who they knocked out in two straight games, 4-1 and 1-0 to win the title, and advance to the Lower Lakes Final Four.

The Final Four Champions Tournament, which takes place from March 28-29, features the four regional Midget AA champions, including the Oakville Hornets, Toronto Aeros, and Aurora Panthers, along with the Sarnia Lady Sting.

Findlater is a grade 10 student at Wallaceburg District Secondary School, where she also played for the Wallaceburg Tartans girls hockey team.
