The Chatham Outlaws Midget ‘AA’ team are preparing for the Ontario Women’s Hockey Association provincials next month, after the team won their regional qualifying playdown series earlier this month.

The Outlaws went 3-0-1 playing both the Sarnia Lady Sting and Windsor Wildcats in a home and home series.

Their only tie came in the form of a 0-0 contest against Windsor. Chatham answered that result by defeating the Wildcats 2-1 with goals being scored by Taylor Reaume and Madison Lalonde.

Lalonde was Chatham’s top scorer in the playdowns, also notching goals in a 2-1 win over Sarnia, with the other goal going to Sydney Sabourin, and a 4-0 victory over Sarnia.

In the 4-0 win, Lauren Nicholson, Ally Daly, and Reaume also scored.

Sydney Authier had both of Chatham’s shutouts.

The Outlaws not look to stay sharp until the Provincial tournament which get underway April 9 in Toronto.
