A trio of Chatham-Kent Cougars football players have committed to play postsecondary football at the OUA level with the University of Windsor Lancers next season.

Kyle Stuart, Randy Cartier, and Carter Wood each signed to play in Windsor, as Lancers coach Joe D’Amore attended the signing of the trio in Wallaceburg Sunday night.

“Great to see players from our own Chatham high schools and players that have played Cougars Football have an opportunity to play at the next level,” said Chatham-Kent Cougars president and Senior Varsity head coach Selwyn Jordan, who has also been a coach at Windsor for several seasons now.

“All of these players will be playing Cougar Varsity football this year, I am looking forward to working with each of them to get them ready for the Windsor Football Program.”

Cartier and Wood are both Chatham-Kent Secondary School students, while Stuart is a UCC Lancers product.

Wood and Cartier also suited up this year at the All Canadian Gridiron All-star Game where Wood was named the defensive MVP.
